DESCRIPTION
Jung’s footnote about the Taoist ‘rain-man’ in Mysterium Coniunctionis invites us to reflect on the internal work that might unfold within the therapist or analyst when meeting our patients’ inner droughts and storms.
Using Jung’s use of the concept of participation mystique and Wilfred Bion’s thinking in relation to containment, Stuart Lee will incorporate case material as he encourages us to reflect on the internal work required to digest our own patients’ material.
Stuart Lee is a psychodynamic psychotherapist working in the Jungian tradition. Before training as a psychotherapist he worked in theatre and, subsequently, priestly ministry in the Church of England. In addition to clinical work he enjoys teaching on the BPF foundation course, supervising trainees and leading a reading group for Jung’s Liber Novus.
